Stainless Steel prices continue to fall

The trend in stainless steel prices is still downwards as it has been over the last 12 months. After early rises in 2012 this was quickly reversed, over the year to date falls are around 15%. Prices are at the point where mills will struggle to keep producing and cover costs so any further falls will be as a result of falls in Nickel prices which will be reflected in surcharges.
